A Peek behind the Curtain; the Backstage World of Costume for Live Performance
Bettina is a Costume Designer, Wardrobe Supervisor, Knitter/Dyer, Lecturer and former Costume Director for NYC Opera. Her work has been seen in performance spaces as diverse as Lincoln Center, Bickford Theater and on Celebrity Cruises around the world.
Drawing from her collection of photographs, costumes and accessories, Bettina will take us backstage and show us what it takes to costume a live show, sharing experiences of her current work at NYC Ballet as well as constructing silk dresses for Hamilton.
Refreshments will be served following the lecture.
