Learn multiple ways to tie a scarf and enhance any outfit.  Bring your favorite scarf to try for yourself and share your scarf tying ideas too.
Health Literacy Tote Bags
The Library is pleased to introduce Health Literacy Tote Bags.  A source of accurate health information vetted by Atlantic Health Systems experts.  Each Tote Bag contains books, DVDs, pamphlets, and other materials on a particular health topic. Patrons can borrow the tote bag for up to 28 days to read the materials. Some materials are to be returned to the library, while others can be kept for future reference. Funded by Atlantic Health Systems Hospital.

Liverpool to Fame
Beginning of the Beatles:  City of Liverpool native, Paul Groom, brings a unique perspective on the Beatles from obscurity to fame in the early 1960’s. Paul attended the same high school as Paul McCartney and George Harrison, John Lennon’s Sunday School, and the youth club where John Lennon met Paul McCartney.  He will discuss the Beatles’ family, musical influences, “skiffle”, early musical tours, relationship with Brian Epstein and more. History of Rock & Roll from the Blues to the British Invasion, Wednesday, November 20th, 2019, 2pm.  Paul Groom will take you on a retrospective of Rock & Roll and Rhythm & Blues. He examines the various trends that influenced these musical genres over time:  the emergence of popular radio stations and advent of TV; the migration of blacks from the rural south to urban centers and the reception of the white audience; the British music experience; and small business entrepreneurship in record distribution and more! Registration required.
