Coffee, Culture and Local Color
Grow It Green Morristown
Don’t miss the second in our new series of Tuesday morning programs themed “Coffee, Culture and Local Color.” The series is designed to highlight some of the many cultural treasures and interesting organizations in our area.
Meet Samantha Rothman, co-founder of Grow It Green Morristown, a non-profit organization promoting sustainable farming and organic food for Morristown residents. Prepare to be inspired by the story of the transformation of an empty, trash-filled lot on Early Street, to a beautiful urban community garden.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
Lanzerotti Lecture 2017
Joseph J. Grano, Jr.
We are delighted to announce local resident, Joseph J. Grano, Jr., as this year’s speaker at the Lanzerotti Lecture which was instituted in 2016 as a way to highlight Harding residents whose achievements have been recognized and awarded beyond the borders of our small community.
A veteran of the U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets), Dr. Grano has been one of the financial service industry’s leading executives for over 30 years, and he served as Chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council under President George W. Bush. Dr. Grano was also the lead producer of the successful 2005 revival of the musical, Jersey Boys. Dr. Grano’s talk will be based on his eminently readable memoir You Can’t Predict a Hero.
Refreshments will be served after the lecture.
