2016 Summer Reading for Kids
Get ready, set, read! Summer Reading Olympics
Every summer, Kemmerer Library sponsors a program for children in grades K through 8, intended to foster a love of reading and emphasizing the importance of reading for pleasure. Click HERE
for program rules.
This year’s theme, Get Ready, Set, Read: Summer Reading Olympics, is inspired by the upcoming games in Rio de Janeiro. We are stocking up on Olympics-inspired books, and throughout the summer months, we will be holding fun, interactive programs celebrating sports and the Olympics.
Pick up your registration packet any time!
It’s the Bee’s Knees!
Our honeybees are here!
Pollinators all over the world are in danger of extinction due to pesticide use, habitat loss, and climate change. In collaboration with local beekeepers, Kemmerer Library is doing its small part to protect our honeybees: This spring we established two hives on the municipal campus and will be caring for them all summer long.
Every Saturday, April-October, 1 p.m.
Join the beekeepers while they inspect the hives to check the health of the honeybees and how the honey production is faring. All ages are welcome!
No registration required. All ages are welcome
